Sibilla, Plus and Perla
Nello Dal Tio was born in the small provincial town of Vazzola, some fourteen miles from Treviso. His rural surroundings played a large part on his first business venture when, at the age of eighteen, Nello joined with two of his siblings to create a company which manufactured farming equipment. Little was it known that this traditional and functional operation would be the platform for one of the most recognisable and trusted brands in the espresso industry.
After a decade of success, Nello began to shift his focus into supplementing the seasonal turnover of his agricultural business and look for a continual, year-round source of income and so, eventually, a new company, C.M.A, was born. Now, some forty-five years later, Astoria not only thinks espresso, but lives it as well.
The quality of each espresso is, in the words of the Italian company, ‘a sensory masterpiece’ that is based upon important values of excellence, tradition and innovation. Coffee and the spirit of innovation, as the company says, are both evergreen and both yield the binding factors of the company’s genetic makeup.
Aesthetically, the Sibilla upholds all of Astoria’s visions and has visually revolutionised the visual concept of espresso machines. With its minimalistic approach, the Sibilla’s body size has been minimized and is formed around the central boiler. With aggressively designed group heads and dispensers there is a contrast and dichotomy on display that radiates a strong personality that demands to be the centre of attention.
Astoria is also at the forefront of technological advancements when it comes to coffee machines. Taken from the Green Line, the Plus range has been proven to reduce the environmental impact of coffee machines by nearly 50% (47.6% to be exact) thanks to an innovative piece of in-built software that micromanages automatic standby during operation. Additionally, the machine also has features that enable the operator to programme the water temperature for each individual grouphead whilst also being able to manage the pressure of the steam exhaled from the milk frother.
The Perla, meanwhile, is one of the most versatile units on the market right now and is available as an automatic, semi-automatic or manual system and is also able to provide optional features that can transform them into the ideal machine for those with specific demands. Precise, reliable and long-lasting, it is a great all around choice.

With their machines found in locations around the world and a number of global partners, Astoria speaks the language that is common throughout the world of coffee: quality.
