Do you think coffee at work is essential?
One of the first things that many of us do in the morning is to get our caffeine fix.
Many of us cannot function without a decent cup of coffee to get us going and kickstarted into the new day.
Coffee shops are filled with queues of coffee-drinkers, anxious to complete their morning ritual before heading to their office desks.
However, how important do you think this coffee drinking routine would be if a survey was done?
As reported in Biz Community, South Africans have recently been subjected to this question.
Who carried out the survey?
The Daily Buzz Coffee Workplace Survey.
What did they find out?
Apparently, South Africans think that a cup of coffee is ‘vital’ or at least ‘important’ in terms of maintaining output.
Over 800 employees of South African companies took part in this survey.
However, it seems that coffee is not just important for the South African’s productivity levels.
Sixty four percent of respondents also reported that their cups of coffee were ‘extremely important’ or ‘important’ to how happy they were in their working lives.
How much coffee was consumed by the participants in this survey?
Apparently, 4% drank over five cups daily, 8% consumed 4-5 cups, 65% of participants consumed between two and three cups of joe, whereas 22% had only a single cup a day.
Do you think that the survey results would be the same if a similar exercise was carried out in your country?
