The Future Coffee Robot
Coffee technology takes another robotic step forward.
Meet the new robot operated coffee house.
Briggo is an Austin, Texas based company and their new kiosk nicknamed ‘The Coffee Haus’ is a 50 foot square foot model, has a nice exterior wood design and accepts orders either on-site or across campus via a website, informing the customer precisely when the drink will be ready.
Customers are now able to take control of every aspect of their drink, including the flavour, the amount and type of milk, flavour syrup not to mention their beverage choice of latte, cappuccino or whether it’s an iced coffee.
If you choose to create an online account, the friendly coffee robot will remember the order for next time (of course, your friendly local barista probably does the same thing).
Briggo isn’t the only company to pursue a robotic coffee venture several other big chains are also copying the idea for airports and train stations nation wide.
To some, this invention might be seen as progress for progress’ sake and the end to traditional coffee shops.
No more huddling around warm cups of coffee in comfy chairs with friends or reading a book, people watching the day away out of the rain in a cosy local establishment.
However there will be those individuals that can’t wait, don’t wish to speak to another human being and like their beverages concocted with uniform precision, ordered electronically.
If this sound like your idea of dream coffee – keep your eyes open for a coffee robot near you.
