A man and a moose visit a coffee shop
Coffee shops are wonderful places that draw a spectrum of clientele in through their doors in order to pick up a caffeinated beverage. Some may stay to have a prolonged tête-à-tête; others may quickly dash in before leaving as quickly as they came as they head on back on their commute and some, some just draw attention a whole load of attention.
Like the moose in the video below, for example
The story is one will undoubtedly bring a smile to your face, warm the cockles of your heart and remove any frowns brought about by the sudden onset of bad weather here in the UK.
It appears that the baby moose was disorientated next to an Ontarian highway when Stephane Desgroseillers pulled up. With no mother in sight, Mr. Desroseillers tried to direct the animal back towards nearby woodland however the calf wouldn’t follow his lead, opting to shakily head back towards the busy road.
He then acted, deciding to ensure the calf’s safety.
With a local wildlife centre closed, the man from Northern Ontario took the young moose home, before heading back to the Wild at Heart refuge centre the following day. On his way there he stopped off a branch of Canada’s iconic coffee shop Tim Horton’s where the video was filmed.
The moose is being cared for at the Refuge Centre in Ontario and has been dubbed ‘Oliver’ by staff.
As far as visitors go, the Oliver the moose became the centre of attention and has since gone on to become a viral sensation. We’re pretty confident to say that he is the most unusual (and perhaps the cutest) visitor to a coffee shop in a while!
Have you had any weird, wild and wonderful guests recently?
